there is a stone in my heart
a hard lump
of coal and steel and pain
polished by lies and fortitude
encased it cold and shame
it grows quite slow
when left to rest
quite fast: when handled so
it tumbles round the chambers
clogs the blue blood
it turns to black
and never passes through
